Two Steps to Reframe

A tool that I use and honestly should use more is in two steps.

I get into a spot and I feel stuck.

Remember to use your emotions like you would the dash gages on your car: they are just feedback. They are not your guide. They can tell you when things are going right and when you need to pull over for servicing.

When I feel sad it's because I feel that I don't have any options and when I feel anxious it's because I am unsure of which option to go with.

The two steps go like this:

1. If Jesus was in this situation what would He do? I don't phrase it WWJD because it's become so common that we just ignore it's wisdom.

2. I ask why would Jesus do that? This is as important as the first question. Jesus was a model of behavior and thought. He is our elder brother and our God. While on earth he was our brother and model. He gave up his divinity position to demonstrate how to do it.
